This time around the winner of the 10 foot Grand champion trophy was Nick Smith (son of Sensei Kevin Smith) from the Iron Dragon School of Martial Arts in Karnes City. He dazzaled the Judges and audience with a Bo rendition to the music of Wipe Out. This was very Special to Nick as he missed winning the trophy last Tournament by 1/2 of a point. He was also awarded his Black Belt by Master Jaschke after the win (even though he will still test formaly for it next Saturday) It was awesome to see the look in his parents eyes after the win. |

Sensei Kevin and I have had parralell interests in this particular area of study for a few years. His quest for knowledge in this area is very admirable, to say the least.
